Health Policy
Our school enforces a healthy and safe environment for all students to learn and play. If your child is displaying any signs of illness, he or she must stay home. When symptoms arise while at school, we will contact you immediately to pick your child up. We enforce these policies to keep our campus a healthy environment for all. Before your child returns to school, they must be free of symptoms for 48 HOURS.
Watch for these symptoms as well:
- Fever of 100.4 degrees or more
- Cough with mucus secretion
- Any unknown rash or skin infection
- Vomiting
- Pinkeye
- Diarrhea
- Head lice (hair must be lice and nit free before re-admittance to school)
- Inconsolable, irritable discomfort
- Heavy nasal discharge indicating an infection
- Contagious illness (chickenpox, etc.)
- Covid Symptoms
Because fresh air is essential to a child’s well-being, we plan to play outside every day weather permitting. Please dress children accordingly. A child not able to play outside should remain home until well.
DO NOT DISGUISE YOUR CHILD’S SYMPTOMS
If you bring your child medicated, they are still contagious and will be spreading their illness to other children. This results in other parents getting upset that their children are contracting these illnesses. Please be respectful to Little Folks University and all of our families.
My signature notes that I have read the Health Policy above and understand that in the event that my children have any of the above symptoms, I will be called to pick up my children.
Please sign the form below to show us that you have read our entire Health Policy and understand that in the event your child has any above symptoms, we will call you to come pick them up.
Sign In & Out Procedures
It is required per our licensing that each child is signed in upon arrival and out at pick up each day. We must track attendance and pick-up times for billing purposes and emergency cases. At LFU, we use the pro care system to sign childs in and out.
If someone else plans to pick up your child, you must notify the front office and your child’s teacher in writing. We recommend that any person picking up a child carry identification and be ready to show it to anyone in the front office.
Transportation & Field Trips
We provide transportation to and from local elementary schools and field trips. Our staff will notify all parents of any outing in advance and require transportation agreements upon enrollment and permission slips before trips.
Because fresh air is essential to a child’s well-being, we plan to play outside every day, weather permitting, so please make sure your child has dressed accordingly.
Snacks & Lunches
Healthy lunches are encouraged for all children in attendance during lunchtime, and we provide options for an extra charge. When packing meals for your child, please include all necessary beverages and silverware. We have microwaves available to heat lunches as well.
All children are encouraged to eat their main food options before eating any snack foods. Please do not send any soda or candy in your child’s lunch, or we will return it home.
